This week, Manna culinary students perused the Manna Garden in search of 3 ingredients to add to their "Chopped" basket. After learning how to properly identify and harvest the garden herbs and vegetables, each student planned a dish based on what was currently ready to harvest in the garden. The dishes were then judged by their culinary instructor and Manna employees.
The student's creativity shone through in their balsamic cucumber salad, thai spiced curry, and basil + tomato pasta. This was the student's first experience working directly from the garden and creating a dish inspired by what's growing.
