Manna Garden Apprenticeship Program


What: To introduce urban farming/gardening as an endeavor that enriches the lives of teens in La Plata County.

Every week will focus on a different sustainable agriculture topic. Students will achieve a certificate for each topic covered that will be proudly delivered to them at the end of the Summer Program. This curriculum runs from June through August until school resumes.

Who: This garden apprenticeship is aimed at teen gardeners. No gardening experience required.

Where: Manna Soup Kitchen Garden

When: Mondays from 10 am to 1 pm with a break for a free and delicious lunch provided by the Manna Soup Kitchen

August 27th - Slow Food

August 31st - Harvest Party
