Growing Tomatoes in SW Colorado

Tips on growing, starting, and choosing the best tomato varieties for our area.  We will discuss choosing varieties that suit our growing season, as well as personal preference and use. The workshop will address choosing healthy starts, transplanting, and preparing beds and trellises for tomatoes.

Shari Fitzgerald is the co-founder of The Garden Project of Southwest Colorado and founder of Greens and Things Children’s Gardens. She has been supporting youth and community gardens since 1998. She's also served as the Program Coordinator for Growing Partners of Southwest Colorado and helped lead the coalitions’ Community Food Assessment Report. Shari still works in the schools and raises 3 kids, chickens, goats, pigs, llamas, and vegetables.
