Season 2 Begins

*The garden is full at this time- contact mia@thegardenprojectswcolorado.org to put on the waitinglist*

We dove right into our second season, opening the garden May 1st, a month earlier than last year. And folks sure are taking advantage of that extra time.

We have the new irrigation system in place and people are amending their soil and planting seeds and starts. What a sight, last year at this time this site was nothing but compacted subsoil...now it is home to 35 individuals, families, and groups' garden plots ready to grow.

Some brave souls are even planting tomatoes, getting a head start on our short season but chancing the possible frost and protecting against it with walls-of-water.
